GLENMONT – Elaine A. Miller, 66, of Glenmont passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at The Grand at Guilderland Center.
Born in Teaneck, NJ on April 19, 1953 a daughter to Frances and Arthur Miller.
She worked most of her career as a Legal secretary, matching her strong sense of justice and principle. She recently was employed at the David Tobias Law Offices in New York City for over ten years until her retirement.
She enjoyed going to the movies and would see anything from Steel Magnolias to the Shining, she loved watching football and still says that Joe Montana was the best quarterback! Once a member of a dart league, she played a mean game of cricket and enjoyed calling the pockets at pool. She enjoyed playing poker, could read the tarot and loved spontaneous trips!
She was a devoted grandmother to her grandson, (Ben) who lit up her face anytime she saw him.
An animal lover, she leaves behind two fur babies, Megha and Lychee and volunteered/ participated in the Morning of Kindness on Christmas Eve at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society the last few years.
She was predeceased by her brother Tommy, her mother Frances, and father Arthur.
She is survived by her daughter, Eunice Bencke (Josh); grandson, Benjamin, by her sister Susan and her brother Kenneth Miller along with some best friends Linda and Bernadette.
A visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 5:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service to immediately follow at 5:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com.
