Elaine Nischo

GUILDERLAND – Elaine Nischo, 72, of Guilderland, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospital, after a long illness. Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Nicolo and Yolanda Provenzano. Mrs. Nischo lived in Guilderland for 28 years. She enjoyed traveling on bus tours with her husband. Elaine is the beloved wife of 48 years to Pasquale (Pat) Nischo. She is the devoted mother of Christina (John) Barber, Eugene (Debbie) Nischo and Patricia (Joe) Hart, all of Guilderland. She is the cherished grandmother of John Barber, Jr., Nickolas Barber, Michael Barber, Vincent Nischo, Anthony Nischo, Elizabeth Hart and Krystle Hart. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday at 8:15 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to Christ the King Church, Guilderland at 9:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King will gather at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
