Elaine R. Murray

COLONIE – Elaine R. Murray of Colonie, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, with her loving family by her side. Elaine was the daughter of the late Florence and Guy Brittell. Her legacy is her love and devotion to her family. Lainey was the beloved wife of John S. Murray for 51 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children; Sherrie (Nels) Peat, Guy Murray and Kathi (David) Hunt. Mimi was the cherished grandmother of Rick Knizek, Staci Ngin, David Peat, Cassie and John Murray and Kelly and Tyler Hunt. She is the loving great-grandmother of Annika Knizek. Elaine is the sister of Virginia Dobiel. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, many friends and co-workers at Sam's Club where she was employed. She is reunited with her brothers, Harry June and Chet June, Sr., and Ron Brittell and her sister, Betty Dobies. Elaine's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Community Hospice of Albany staff for the loving care they gave to her during her illness.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
