Valenti, Elaine M. (Pafundi), 92, passed away at Van Rensselaer Manor on
Wednesday, July 20, 2023. Elaine was born to the late Dominic and Louise (Cesta)
Pafundi in Troy, NY on August 17, 1930. Elaine was married to the late Rocco A.
Valenti Sr. for 60 years.
Elaine spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family all year round but especially during the holidays. Elaine enjoyed vacations with her husband Rocco, including their many trips to Las Vegas, Aruba, Hawaii, the Bahamas, Florida, and playing the slots at the Saratoga Racino.
She was a devoted member of St, Anthony's Church of Troy. She served as president of the PTA and was very active during her children's school years.
Elaine leaves behind her loving family, who will miss her dearly, daughter, Maria (John, Sr.) Albarelli of Rensselaer, son Rocco, Jr. Valenti of Ballston Lake, her grandsons, John Jr. (Christine) Albarelli, Rensselaer, Rocco III (Carrie) Valenti, Kentucky and Christopher (Brenna) Valenti, Grafton. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Liliana and John III Albarelli, Phoenix and Gabriel Valenti, and step-grandson Avery Glenn. Elaine is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Beside her parents and husband, Elaine was predeceased by her son, Angelo Valenti, sisters Frances (Francis) Margo and Catherine (Gerald) Clemente, her brother Dominic (Leota) Pafundi, Jr. and her infant great- grandson Angelo Antonio Valenti.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Van Rensselaer Manor third floor, Wing B. for all the kindness and support shown to Elaine during her stay there.
Funeral services are private. There will be no calling hours.
