Wildwood, Florida – Eleanor Ames, 85, passed away Saturday September 11, 2010.
Eleanor was born in Albany New York. A daughter of the late Peter and May (Beckman) Snyder. Eleanor moved to South Carolina and then moved to Florida . Eleanor work as a waitress for many years.
Eleanor is survived by her sister Elizabeth (Gilbert) Baker, brother Douglas Snyder and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including her niece who was particularly dear to Eleanor, Donna LaJoy.
The funeral service will be held Thursday 12:00 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00am to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
