Eleanor D. Draper

Eleanor Draper, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 13, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born in Schenectady to the late John and Katherine Bikowitz. Eleanor enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and had a great sense of humor. She was very proud of the fact that there were five generations living within her family. In addition to her parents Eleanor was predeceased by; her daughter, Dorothy Savery and several brothers and sisters.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Harold Draper. She is the beloved mother of James (Cindy) Kemp. The cherished grandmother of Eleanor (Michael) Frederico, Chuck (Rebecca) Kemp, Cathy (Glenn) Bradt, Mike Kemp, Timothy Savery, Dawn Savery, Jayson (Karisa Beardsley) Richardson, Tanya (Frank) Starker and Christopher (Danielle) Bikowitz. Eleanor is the loving great grandmother of Carole, Victoria, Andrew, Alex, Matthew, Jacob C., Jonathan, Samantha, Jacob A., Gabrielle, Addisyn and Chase; and the adored great-great grandmother of Jennalyse and Arie. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nina Wu and her staff for all of their support and kindness through a very difficult time and to the staff with Albany County Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
