Loudonville -
Eleanor Frances Haluska, 93 years young, entered heaven on April 12, 2022, her loving family by her side.
Eleanor was born in Brooklyn, New York to Lily (Hartmeier) Stark and John G. Stark, and was sister to Stanley Stark (deceased). Ellie was the beloved wife of the late Frank S. Haluska.
She was a graduate of P.S. 24, Brooklyn and attended Pratt Institute, before meeting Frank in Saugerties. That day, a country boy met his city girl, and the rest is history.
Eleanor and Frank owned and ran the Yankee Peddler, a consignment shop in Loudonville, for many years.
Ellie was the devoted mother of Mark (Tana), Jill Alund, Jacqueline Palkovic, and Michael (her best pal). She is the loving grandmother of Jimmy Alund (Nicole), Jane Romm (Brian), John Alund (Glory), Andrea Reynolds (Michael), Cassandra Palkovic, and Alex Palko (Jenna).
Eleanor was blessed to be the great-grandmother of Ryder and Leni Palko, Avery Eleanor Reynolds, Trent Pascuzzi, and Atlas James Alund. The grands and greats brought her so much joy.
Sincere thanks to the entire staff at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center for your care and kindness during Eleanor's final years. We are so grateful. You are amazing.
