Eleanor L. Langdon

Eleanor L. "Ellie" Langdon, 82, wife of Earl C. Langdon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Born on April 18, 1942, in Glens Falls, NY.

Ellie graduated from South Glens Falls High School, and later went on to study nursing. In 1963, she graduated from the Albany Medical School of Nursing. She worked at Albany Children's Hospital, and Kingston Hospital. In the 1970s, she established the art program at St. Mary's of the Snow School in Saugerties, NY. Also, the Parish Nursing at St. Catherine's Laboure Church, Lake Katrine. Ellie was a dedicated nurse for years, but her most treasured accomplishment was her family. Earl and Ellie married on April 30, 1966, and thereafter purchased a home in Saugerties NY where they started their family. She was an excellent cook, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

In addition to her husband, Ellie is survived by her two dedicated and loving daughters, Tracy Burke and Trisha (Vincent) Cuzdey; her granddaughters Kaitlyn Burke and Shannon Burke of Rhode Island; and several nieces and nephews. Ellie also leaves behind several close friends who cared for her greatly.

Ellie she was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Wanda; her sister, Patricia.

Memorial Donations may be made in her name to American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Utah.


The family would like to thank everyone for reaching out regarding the passing of their Mom, Ellie.

In her honor and memory, the family is hosting a "Christmas in July" to celebrate Ellie's life and most favorite holiday. We hope you will join us on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Frank D Greco Memorial Senior Center, 207 Market St. Saugerties, NY 12477.
