GUILDERLAND- Eleanor M. Smith, 87, of Guilderland, passed away on Sunday March 1, 2009 at St. Peters Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Amsterdam and was the daughter of the late Irving and Leah Moran.
Eleanor enjoyed playing bridge, vacationing with her family in Canada and spending time with her cherished family. She was predeceased in 1987 by her husband Richard M. Smith.
Eleanor is the beloved mother of Richard (Tammy) Smith and Wendy Kross. She is the adoring grandmother of Joey and Lauren Kross. Eleanor is the sister of William (Fran) Moran, and the late Thomas Moran, and Jack (Isabel) Moran. Sister in law of Toni Moran. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with Eleanor's wishes, funeral services will be private. There will no calling hours. Interment will be in Memorys Garden. In honor of her precious grandchildren, memorial contributions are suggested to South Colonie Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 12413, Albany, NY 12212-2413.
