Eleanor Patrick

Eleanor Emily (Ellie) Patrick passed into eternal life on February 21, 2025.

Born Elenora Emily Gabriele on October 7, 1925 and raised in Schenectady, Eleanor graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1944. Eleanor built her own home at the age of 24 with her first husband Victor Roy Elmore Jr., and held great pride in her home. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and attending garage sales. Ellie dedicated many years of service to Imperials where she modeled, Campbell Plastics, and General Electric Company, where she later retired. She also spent years working in her mother’s store, the Little Red Sandwich Shop, on lower Broadway.

Ellie was preceded by her parents, Josephine and John Gabriele, her brothers Michael and Carmen Gabriele, her sisters Mary DeMatrin, Angie DeMatteo, and Rita Manning, and her son Victor R. Elmore III.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Karen (Ed) Goff and K’Deen Patrick; her grandchildren, Jason (Samantha) Goff, Darek (Karen) Goff, Shauna (Alex Kenney) Baldwin, Jacey Baldwin, Kaelyn DiCocco, and Kennedy DiCocco; her great-grandchildren, Shelbi Rippel, Samantha Jo Goff, Damien Zurek, Hailey Cummings, Abigail Goff, Aydin Goff, Jackson Adams, Natalie Goff, Brady Goff, Luna Kenney, Soleil Kenney, Hunter Baldwin, and Riley Baldwin; and several nieces.

She also leaves behind dear friends Phyllis Bullis, Cathy Corini, and Judy Bartholomew.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Hospice, Ellie’s nurse Emily, her physical therapist Gretchen, and Lexie for their special care. Special thanks to Pat from Our Lady of Peace and Father Anthony who administered Ellie’s last rites.
