Eleanor C. Renus

Eleanor Claire Renus, 86, passed peacefully at her daughters home in Rotterdam, NY, on September 13, 2022. She was born on December 5, 1935 in Kulpmont, Pennsylvania to the late Walter and Bertha Bednarczyk, step father (William Millett). She married the love of her life Charles J. Renus on September 29, 1957, who preceded her in death in March of 2022.

In her earlier years, Eleanor spent countless hours with her husband Chuck being social butterflies living it up with their many friends. Eleanor loved to entertain her family and friends during the holidays and many other special occasions where she love to showcase her cooking and baking skills. As Eleanor got older, she enjoyed to simply stay home where she enjoyed watching ice skating, doing cross-stitch and working on word search puzzles.

A loving mother and homemaker, she was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them, knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.

Eleanor is the loving mother to Michael (Christine) Renus, Kelly (Anthony) LaRue, and Michelle Hines (Ray Bronk). Devoted grandmother to Michael Jr, Rebecca, Tyler, Christopher (Chelsea), Justin and Brandon. Cherished great grandmother to Porter, Cole and Aurora. Dear sister of Dorothy (Joe) Wier and Larry (Rose) Bednarczyk. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the countless relatives and friends who assisted in the later months along with Linda Burdick who kept her hair looking beautiful. Along with community Hospice who guided us with the difficult transition. Eleanor will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 21, 2022 from 10:00am - 11:00am. Services will begin at 11:00am, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd Colonie. Interment to follow at Gerald B.H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd. Schuylerville NY 12871.
