December 23, 1939 — March 8, 2021
STATEN ISLAND- Eleanor A. Romano, age 81, went home to the Lord on March 8, 2021 at Cooperstown Center.
She was born in Manhattan, the daughter of the late Henry Frey. Her husband, Pasquale Romano and son, Anthony Romano and her son in law German aka Junior, predeceased her.
Eleanor was a social butterfly and a jokester. She was extremely confident. She was considered the Dutchess.
She was the loving mother of: Maria, Lisa, Patricia, Patrick, Karen and Stephen Romano. Also survived by many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Jake, grandma loves you and will hear your calls from Heaven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY. A service will follow at 2:30 p.m.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
