After working for ten years at the church, she then went to work for the Town of Colonie until her retirement in 1987. Eleanor was a member of the Colonie Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Lisha's Kill Senior Citizens Club and Club 55 at the church. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Andrew in 1973.
