Hudson-
Hoover-Steinke, Eleanor "Blondie" Helen 66, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, February 15, 2024.
Blondie was born in Hudson, NY, the daughter of the late Leslie and Elizabeth Hoover.
Blondie graduated from Germantown High School. She worked at Kaz in Hudson, NY and for many years at the Hudson Walmart in the Radio Grill food court.
She loved to go fishing, play bingo and crochet. She loved to dress up real pretty putting on her make-up, high heels and go out and party with her friends. Blondie was highly loved and respected. she gained many children that were not biologically hers and treated them as if they were. She was a community Mom that everyone loved. When times were hard she knew what to do. Her door was always open for all. She would give you the shirt off her back. Blondie was a strong woman who fought many battles that life threw at her. Blondie spent countless days and nights fighting for her daughter's (Brianna) life .
She did every and anything to make sure her child would win this battle and she did, she survived.
Blondie is survived by her 5 children; Karen Harrington, Mark A. (Mia) Guldenstern Sr., Jamie Klucserits, Amber Brown, Brianna Hernandez and bonus child Stephanie (George) North. She has 6 granddaughters Kadejah (Ang), Trinity (Nick), Jaylinn (Prince Sr), Mackenzie (Billy),Alexis, and Christianna;14 grandsons Kristopher,Tristin,Michael,Jamel, Joseph Jr, Austin, Mark Jr, Anthony, Romello, Daiquan, Adonis, Demetriuis, Cashon and Jahlil. She has 3 great grandchildren Ezekiel (Michael), Prince (Jaylinn), and Ha'Niya (Kristopher). She has 1 nephew Joseph Murell and 1 great nephew Little Joey.
She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Judy (Cameron) Fielder.
She was predeceased by her grandson Anthony (Tookie) and her grandmother Ella Garrison
She will forever be our Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Queen and OUR HERO and will forever be missed by ALL!
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd. Watervliet, NY 12189 from 12-2:30 pm, funeral service will follow immediately after.
