LOUDONVILLE – Eleanor W. Barbin, 95, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Eleanor was born on July 8, 1917 in Albany and was the daughter of the late William C. and Catherine (Emerick) Wertman. She was also predeceased by her devoted and loving husband of 59 years, Edward M. Barbin and one sister and four brothers.
Her love and passion in life was her family. She enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker and spending summers with her family on Lake George. She had a strong devotion to God and was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Edward W. Barbin (Berendina) and Carole A. Malo; her loving grandchildren, Ingrid A. B. Blydenburgh (Stephen), James E. Malo, Jr., Dawn W.B. Hadley (Jody), and Jeffrey G. Malo; her cherished great grandchildren, Caitlan, Stephen, Emma, Bailey, Faith, and Brooke and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens in Colonie.
