ROTTERDAM JUNCTION-Elizabeth "Betty" A. Adair, 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Baptist Health & Rehabilitation Center, Scotia. She was born in Edgewater, NJ, the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (O'Rourke) Sprague. Elizabeth was a longtime resident of Rotterdam Junction and was a retired nurse's aide from Hallmark Nursing Home in Rotterdam. She was married for 55 years to the late William Adair, Sr. Elizabeth was a communicant of St. Margaret's of Cortona, Rotterdam Junction and a life time member of the Rotterdam Junction Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Kathaleen Reedy, Barbara Fitzgibbons, Deborah Montanaro, William Adair, Jr. (Susan), Irene Adair (Ken) and Timothy Adair (Donna); twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and by her sister Catherine Maloney.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2013 at St. Margaret's of Cortona Church, 1228 Main St. Rotterdam Junction.
Interment will be at Woestina Cemetery, Rotterdam Junction.
Contributions may be made to St. Margaret's of Cortona Church, Rotterdam Junction in memory of Elizabeth.
