Asheville, NC—Elizabeth Ann (Betty Ann) Frampton, formally of Loudonville, passed away on February 24, 2014 at the SOLACE Center in Asheville, NC. She was a young 63. She was born in Troy on May 13th, 1950. She is the daughter of the late Dominic and Elizabeth Piscitella.
Betty Ann was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Latham before moving to North Carolina in 2010. She held many positions in North Colonie School District over the last 25 years, and volunteered at every level of the Parent Teachers Association starting at South Gate Elementary and finally serving as president of the PTA at Shaker High School. Betty Ann was the secretary of Albany County BOCES for 7 years. She enjoyed working with children with emotional and developmental problems, making sure the kids came first.
She had a short 3 year retirement with her husband, James Frampton in their log cabin built in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. They spent 42 happy years together in the Albany area. In addition to Jim, she is survived by their children. Jody (Brent) Frampton-Hightower of New Orleans, Jonathan M. Frampton (Syracuse).
Additional survivors include her three sisters: Mary (Robert) Karl of Clifton Park, Carol (Mike) Zurlo, Mechanicville, Barbara (Robert) Naumiec, of Clifton Park., and her brother John (Mary Lee) Piscitella. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins also survive. She also left behind a great many good lifelong friends, too many to name, but you know who you are.
To our new friends in North Carolina, We both thank you for the help in feeling wanted in our new home. Help in getting Betty Ann up to Albany to be buried next to her parents. Your help was invaluable.
Calling Hours will be on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate her life at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Tuesday at 10 am. Interment will follow the Mass at St Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
