Elizabeth B. Hallock

SCOTIA - Elizabeth B. Hallock, 91, of Scotia, passed away on Monday January 3, 2011 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Mahaffey, PA and was the daughter of the late Zacharia and Josephine Rainey Byers.
Elizabeth retired form the former State Bank of Albany. She was a longtime devoted member of the American Gold Star Mothers (AGSM) and several American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliaries in Schenectady County. Elizabeth is the Past President of the New York State GSM and proudly volunteered at the VA Medical Center for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband James Hallock and her son, L/Cpl Douglas P. Hallock, USMC, and four siblings. Elizabeth is the beloved mother of Deborah M. (Franklin) Gaudette. She is the sister of Helen Mannerberg. She is the cherished grandmother of Paul D. (Stacie) Geddes and Brian Gaudette. Great grandmother of Kaitlin and Connor. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to AGSM, Chapter 7, c/o the funeral home, in memory of Elizabeth B. Hallock.
