Colonie – Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Bishop, 76, died peacefully on June 15, 2014 en route from her Colonie home to a nearby hospital.
She lived a full life right to the end, doing what she loved her whole life; being kind, generous and willing to help someone without ever expecting anything in return. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and caring grandmother. For those who were fortunate enough to know her, knew a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. Her body may now be laid to rest, but her body will be sent to be an angel among angels, reuniting with friends and family that have gone before her and waiting for friends and family to join her. She believed that God does everything for a reason, so may her passing serve the purpose of bringing a stronger bond, and stronger love and relationships within our family. She may be gone but will never be forgotten. We may not be able to experience her loving ways in the physical form, but from heaven she will always find a way to; comfort us, guide us, and provide for us, because that was all she knew.
Betty is survived by her husband Earl Bishop Sr.; her sons, Earl Bishop Jr. and Peter Smith; her daughter, Patricia Smith; her step-daughter Marjorie Bishop; her grandson, Austin Bishop; and her sisters, Michele Ball and Mary Lou Burch. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private to the family.
