Elizabeth "Betty" Carter, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.
Betty was the daughter of the late Walter Martin and Gladys Martin.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended every event they had. Betty was known for always having a beautiful smile on her face and was always the life of the party.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her two brothers, one sister and her son-in-law, Dennis Galardy.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Patricia Galardy and Connie (Brad) Spencer. She is the adored grandmother of Scott (Lindsey) Spencer and Jason (Dana) Galardy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 5:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 4:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131 in Betty's memory.
