Elizabeth Clas

ALBANY – Elizabeth W. (Betty) Clas, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Teresian House. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Elizabeth V. (McDuff) Ward. She was an Albany resident for all of her life. She worked for the N.Y. S. Dept. of Taxation & Finance, retiring in 1977. Betty was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society at St. Patrick's Church in Albany for many years. She was also an active volunteer in nursing homes and visiting shut-ins. Betty is survived by her nieces, Victoria R. Ward of Santa Barbara, CA and Doris A. Kopach and her husband, Kevin of Colonie. She was the sister of the late James E. Ward and Katherine W. Crate, who was her twin sister.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at the Teresian House.
