Elizabeth Cooke

Elizabeth A. Cooke, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Albany, NY to the late Carl and Anna Haberland. She worked for NY Telephone from 1950 to 1957. She enjoyed reading, camping, soap operas, her many different animals and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Cooke, Sr., her brother Raymond Haberland and her aunt, Elizabeth Carroll.

She is survived by her beloved children, Joseph Cooke, Jr., Elizabeth Rogers and Jeffrey Cooke. She is the adored grandmother of Kyle and Connor Rogers and the sister of William (Frances), John (Jean) Haberland and Susan (Robert) Schoonbeek.

Funeral service for Elizabeth will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Knox Cemetery, Knox, NY.
