RENNSELAER- Elizabeth A. Hans, 83, of Rensselaer passed away on Sunday February 27, 2005 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Jamaica, Queens and was the daughter of the late Philip and Jeannette Hepburn Barber.
Elizabeth was a resident of the Capital Region since 1971. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker. Elizabeth was a former member of the Long Island Veterans Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed camping with her family.
Elizabeth was predeceased in 1987 by her husband Charles A. Hans Jr. She is survived by her beloved children, Charles Hans and Edward Hans both of South Carolina, Barbara Johnson of Rensselaer, Thomas Hans of Maine and David Hans of Catskill. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 3 to 7 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albany Dialysis Center, 64 Albany-Shaker Rd. Albany NY 12204 in memory of Elizabeth A. Hans.
