Elizabeth Jones
October 6, 1937 — February 19, 2020
Elizabeth Jones , 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation, with her loving family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ronie (Mathis) Turman. Elizabeth was the devoted wife of over 65 years to the late Willie T. Jones.
Elizabeth was a member of the Kingdom Reigning Worship Center Church in Albany.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to Church, shopping and she adored her grands and great grands.
In addition to her parents, her husband she was predeceased by her son, Melvin Jones, her sisters, Roselee Norman, Emily Tucker, her brothers, James, George, Odell, Theodore and Charlie Turman.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Marvin Turman, Marshall Jones and Mary Ann Turner-Ketter..
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation and to Albany County Hospice for all of their care and compassion given to Elizabeth and her family.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY on Saturday February 29, 2020 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, Albany, NY.
