Elizabeth H. Lemieur

Green Island- Elizabeth H. "Betty" Lemieur, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Philip and Anna Burke Lemieur.

Betty worked as a secretary for the New York State Office for the Aging in Albany, New York until her retirement.

Betty was a proud member of St. Mary's Church. She was devoted to the lord and spent her free time volunteering at St. Augustine's Church. She also was a Volunteer for Seton Health Volunteer Services where she provided kind and compassionate assistance to the patients and their families at various hospitals.

Betty enjoyed spending time with her entire family. She had a fond love of Alvin and the Chipmunks, especially Simon. Betty also enjoyed spending her free time being a member of "The Big Three".

Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews, Phyllis (Rob) Webster, Thomas (Diane) Lemieur, Linda (Chris) Marson, and John (Becky) Lemieur; and several grand nieces, grand nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph (the late Fran) Lemieur and Philip (Brida) Lemieur.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 10am to 12pm with a funeral service to begin at 12pm. Burial will follow the service at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet, New York.
