Elizabeth M. Whitehouse, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home.
Betty was the daughter of the late Everett and Josephine Barber.
Betty was the wife of over 39 years to Charles H. Whitehouse.
She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing dominos and enjoyed tap dancing. Betty also had a passion for crocheting.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings; Dorothy Lawson, John Barber, Sarah VanAllen and Everett "Doug" Barber and also her nephew, Clifford Lawson.
Elizabeth is survived by her brothers; Robert (Lauren) Barber and Claude Barber. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Robert Scott Barber, Jeanne (Joseph) Teson, Kathleen (Paul) Lawson, Julie Barber, Paul David (Patricia) Lawson, Richard Lawson, Pricilla (Joseph) Montalone and Linda (Randy) Whipple and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, including her dear cousin Fannie VanHeusen.
Betty's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Green and Blue Pavilion of the Daughters of Sarah for all the care they provided for Betty.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice Foundation 310 S. Manning Boulevard Albany, NY 12208 in Betty's memory.
