Elizabeth Jean Monson
November 2, 1955 — December 9, 2022
Nassau- Elizabeth Jean Monson, 67 passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 9, 2022. Born in Boston Mass she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Avard. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Allan Monson.
Liz spent her working years helping the elderly, the handicapped and the deaf. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her two boys Joshua and Jonathan. She will also be missed by her siblings; Janis Devine of MA., Linda Carrone of MA., Roberta Avard of Virginia and John Avard of GA.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 9am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home with interment following at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
