Rensselaer- Elizabeth J. Rooney 70, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2020 with her loving family by her side. Elizabeth (Betty) was
the daughter of the late Francis J. Bullis and Margaret C. (Leichenauer) Bullis of Rensselaer. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of 26
years, Gerald A. Rooney (Jerry).

Betty enjoyed spending time with her family the most. She adored her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she loved playing
bingo and celebrating birthdays with her sisters and brother-in-law at the casino. She fondly shared the story of her recent trip to Las Vegas and the
surrounding area. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she eagerly anticipated spoiling her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren
every year.

Betty was the "protector" of her family and often the voice of reason. She will be remembered for her quick mind, sharp wit and sense of humor. She
was the master of the one-liner and always spoke her mind with grace and confidence. Betty retired from her job with the Department of Motor
Vehicles after 39 years of dedicated service, she is fondly remembered by coworkers.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth J Rooney of Halfmoon, NY, Brandi-Jo Rooney of DeLand, FL and Billie-Jo Rooney of Cohoes, NY. Her
grandchildren, Genesis and Adian Matile of Halfmoon, NY and Ericka and Nicholas Layman of Schodack, NY, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and
many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Betty was the third daughter of 9 girls. Her sisters include: the late Catherine (Tommy) Mazzone of Dale City, VA; the late Frances (Fred) Coy
of Nassau, NY; the late Patricia (Jack) Broadhurst of Ravena, NY; Linda (Ed) Broadhurst of Ballston Spa, NY; Susan (Richy) Maniscalso of East
Greenbush, NY; Jaqueline (Dee) Seaburg of Rensselaer, NY; Gladys (Emanuel) Pestana of Dixon, CA and Tracey (Jeff) Pasquariello of Averill
Park, NY.

Betty lived life on her own terms and was loved by many. Her memory will be cherished by all of those she touched.
