Elizabeth A. Taiman
August 30, 1922 — November 21, 2017
DELMAR-Taiman, Elizabeth Ann, 95, passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at St. Peter's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where she had resided for the past year. Before that she lived in Delmar, New York at the Good Samaritan Senior Apartments.
Liz was born in Albany, the daughter of Nellie Hannan Higgins and Joseph Daniel Higgins on
August 30, 1922. She retired from the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance and the Veterans Administration Hospital.
She graduated from college at the age of 60 and was so proud to call herself a graduate of the College of Saint Rose.
She was the beloved mother of Diane Malinowski (Sydney Dunston), Barbara (Richard) Kerker and Suzanne Taiman and devoted grandmother of Elizabeth (Jason) Palmer, Emily (Henry) Sombke and Ashley (Timothy) Tyler
She was very proud of her Irish Heritage and always dreamed of making a trip to Ireland.
She was predeceased by her parents, her four brothers, Edward, Leonard, Leroy and Anson Heavenor and her son-in-law, Stanley Malinowski.
The family wishes to thank the devoted staff especially those on the 3rd floor at St. Peter's Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the loving care they gave our mother and grandmother.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 2, 2017 at St. Thomas Church, 35 Adams Place, Delmar NY. Calling hours will precede the Mass from 10 to 11a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Albany N.Y.
