Elizabeth "Mugg" Twiggs 87, departed this life on board for heaven on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at the Shaker Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Elizabeth was born Friday, January 26, 1934 to the late John and Juanita Williams in Albany, New York. She was educated in the Albany Public School System. Throughout her life she was employed by Montgomery Ward and the New York Telephone Company for over 30 years until her retirement in the early 90's.
Elizabeth was certainly a family oriented person. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling to the gambling capitals of Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Mugg always dreamed of winning the big jackpot. She was baptized by the late Reverend Louis C. Brewer and a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church of Albany, NY for over 50 years.
Her memories will live on through her two daughters Mosetta K. (Keith) Timmons of Albany, New York and Marlinda B. Timmons of Las Vegas, Nevada, Daughter-In-Law Barbara Twiggs of Albany, New York, Grandchildren Richard (Marisa) Bean, Honey Nadine (Cleveland) Courtwright, Regina (Dave) Twiggs, Tremenia (Sa'eed) Haggray, of Albany, New York, Rashidia Twiggs of West Palm Beach, Florida, Keya Swain, Jamia Noisette, Jermayne (Sandra) Timmons and Jarquese Mitchell of Albany, New York, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren, a host cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Keenan "Twiggs" Poole, Great-Grandson Jahiem Twiggs, sisters Juanita Mitchell, Savannah Breedlove, and Rosalie Bigger.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday April 2, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205. A service will follow at 3:30 p.m. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
