ALBANY- Ella Marie Miller, 56, passed away in her home on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, with her loving family by her side.
Ella Marie was born on February 19, 1959 to Ben Grate and the late Mary Grate, in Griffin, North Carolina. She was a dedicated employee to Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home for over 10 years.
Ella Marie is survived by her loving daughter, Monique Smalls, her siblings; Robert E. (Velma) Miller, Cynthia E. Miller, Jeffrey P. Miller, Gregory L. (Sheri) Miller, Christina Grate, and Lekedrick Grate, her grandchildren; Ny'quasia, My'lasia, Ja'nasia,Cy'asia, and her dear friend, Charles Coles, and a host of family and friends.
Ella Marie enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and playing cards with her family. She will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, from 10:00-12:00, with a service to immediate follow. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
