Ellen A. Belfance Thompson

Princetown- Ellen A. Belfance Thompson, 83, passed away at St. Lukes Hospital in Utica. Born in Rotterdam Junction, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jennie Weatherwax. Ellen was a member of the Heldeberg Chapter of the Eastern Star and also a member of the Boyd Hilton VFW Ladies Auxillary, Altamont. Ellen is predeceased by two husbands, Edward L. Belfance, Sr. and Kenneth B. Thompson and also 9 brothers and sisters.
Ellen is survived by her two sons, Edward L. Belfance, Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Esperence and Frederick J. Belfance and his wife Marie of Schenectady, her sister Mary Preddel and her three brothers Daniel, William and Russell Weatherwax. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Albany, 139 South Lake Avenue, Albany, NY 12201 in memory of Ellen A. Belfance Thompson.
