Ellen M. Rockenstire

ALBANY – Ellen M. Hanley Rockenstire, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 4, 2013 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Center.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late William and Ellen Hanley. Ellen was the beloved wife of the late John Rockenstire.
She is the beloved mother of John Rockenstire and his wife Jean of Schenectady, Donald Rockenstire of Ballston Spa and the late Joann Mott. Ellen is the grandmother of Jay, Jill, Jerry, Johnny, Derrick Rockenstire and the late Casey Ann Mott. She is the sister of Shirley Catalfamo of Colonie and the late Elizabeth, Marion, Margaret, William, Patrick, Frederick, Raymond and Joseph Hanley. Ellen is also survived by many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and a special niece, Gloria. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
