Guilderland- Ellen S. Richardson passed away peacefully at her home on January 24, 2016.
The daughter of the late Harry and Francis (Franz) Schmilok, Ellen was born on August 19, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. She was retired from the New York State Department of Health after over 25 years.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Bianco and her pride and joy, granddaughter Madison Bianco.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald S. Richardson; her sister Natalie Dezaro.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 10 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ellen's name to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Ln, Latham, New York 12110.
