Elsie Mary Burnell

Cohoes - Elsie Mary Burnell, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2021 with her loving family by her side. Elsie was the daughter of the late Steven Dudash and Esther Evertsen-McBride. Elsie was the devoted wife to the late Edward Burnell.

Elsie was a dancer. In her younger years, she enjoyed regular dancing and later enjoyed country line dancing. Elsie's family was her life, spending time with all of them. She had a big heart and was "mother" to everyone. Her joy was her grandchildren and great grand babies.

Elsie is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Paul) Happle, Linda (Kevin) Billetts and Cheryl Taylor (Edward Pugh); grandchildren, Jenna Vandenburgh, Brandon (Alyssa), Kenneth (Kristin) and Trever Desautels; great grandchildren, Maisalynn, Kenny, Rhiannon, Ellia, Llewyn Desautels, Brinley and Ryan Howes; her siblings, Dolores (Ted) Festa, Elizabeth Sfara, Steven (Denise) Dudash, Deborah (Mark) Herrington, Carol (Garth) McDonald, Rosemary (Beau) Lecuyer and Patricia (Nick) Palmer and many loving relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 6:30 pm. Family and friends are invited to meet at the funeral home on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
