Schenectady – Elsie R. Boisvert, 95, passed away peacefully Friday April 16, 2010 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home.
She was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Oscar and Rose Sittner and was a lifelong area resident. Elsie and her late husband, Russell A. Boisvert, loved to travel and square dance together. She was a caring homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Elsie is survived by her son Russell J. (Carol) Boisvert, grandson Scot (Beth) Boisvert, great-granddaughter Katie, sister Edna Bishop and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Rose Maney and brother Oscar Sittner.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday 10:30am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 or International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Dr, suite 206, North Hollywood, CA 91607-3421.
