Elton Crounse Jr.

Elton Crounse Jr., 76, beloved husband of Linda M Crounse, passed away Friday, April 7th, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 10, 1946, in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Elton and Gladys (Ouderkirk) Crounse. He was raised in New Scotland on the family farm.
Elton was a 1964 Graduate of Voorheesville High School. Upon graduation Elton enlisted in the US Airforce during the Vietnam War, fortunate to remain stateside during his enlistment. Upon returning to NY, he owned and operated Crounse Auto Repair in New Scotland and later worked for the Albany County Highway Department.

In addition to his parents, Elton is predeceased by his brothers Ralph, Kenneth, and Raymond Crounse.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Linda M Crounse, his son Elton (Jamie) Crounse of Scotia, his daughters, April (James) Kelly of Houston, Christian (Frederick) Donovan of Schaghticoke, Martha (Thomas) Carroll of Knox. As well as his 14 grandchildren: Elton (IV), Matthew, Mason, Tatyana, Dylan, Jeremy, Joshua, Lara, Anna, Audrey, Katie, Claudia, Joel and Tommy. As well as many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 11th from 5pm to 7pm, with a service to follow at 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A graveside service will be held at 9AM, Wednesday, April 12th at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
