Town of New Scotland- Emily Ann Neander, 5, passed away tragically on July 8, 2023, with her father, Arthur "AJ" Neander, great-uncle, Dale Donato, and Rebecca Monterosso, who was special to Emily. Emily is survived by her mother, Michelle Thorne.
Emily was a shining star that was sweet and sassy and was loved by all in the community. She loved being outside and was always greeting and helping people at the farm. Emily will be forever loved and missed by all.
In addition to her mother, Emily is survived by her brother, Anthony Thorne, as well as her aunts and uncles, Adam Neander, Amanda Neander (Justin Porter), and Heather Harrigan (Josh). She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Karen and John Thorne, and aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 17, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A graveside service will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.
