Emma Bliven

Emma L. Bliven, 67, passed away August 20th at home. Emma was born in Schenectady to the late Gabriel and Mary Galietta. 

She attended Mt. Pleasant School. Emma worked for Glendale Nursing Home for over 10 years and then worked for New York State ODHEC for 12 years until her retirement. Emma enjoyed swimming, walking and spending time with her grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter A. Bliven, her brother Ross Galietta and her best friend Donald McNicol, who she weathered their storms ,good and bad together.

Emma is survived by her cherished children Christine (Derek) Langlois and Gary (Becky) Waldron Jr. , her brother Gabriel Galietta and her sister Anne (Jim) Bennett. She is the adored grandmother of Kalika, Amanda, Jakob and Justin.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens at the privacy of the family.
