NISKAYUNA – Emma M. Frey, 88, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Wesley Health Care Center. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva Smith. Mrs. Frey was a long time member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church where she served on the Alter Guild and taught Sunday School. She volunteered with the American Red Cross, VA Center, Right to Life, Multiple Sclerosis, CP Telethon, and Special Olympics. While her children were young, she was a girl scout leader. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Robert Frey. She is the devoted mother of Judith Langlois and her husband, Tom of Niskayuna, Marcia Post and her husband, Lynn of Falling Waters, WV and the late Edward Frey. She is the cherished grandmother of Amber Post, Thomas Langlois and his wife, Helen, Debbie Langlois, Meaghan Rousselle and her husband, Paul and the late Kimberlee Langlois. She is the loving great-grandmother of Nicholas and Nathan Langlois and Tyler and Madison Rouselle. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Emma was the sister of the late Caroline Bills and Carlisle Smith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 63 Mountainview Avenue, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Saviour's Lutheran School, 63 Mountainview Ave., Colonie, NY 12205 in memory of Emma M. Frey.
