Emma Anna Pulsifer, lovingly known as Imogene by her friends and family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on January 8, 2025, at Hudson Park Nursing Home in Albany.
Born in Elizabethtown, NY on May 29, 1944, she was the daughter of late Raymond Pulsifer and Carrie Pulsifer (Lewis).
Emma was one of 9 children. Much of her time as a child was spent in the Adirondacks, at a family camp. Emma graduated from Phillip Schuyler High School in Albany, NY. Emma loved to paint pictures of nature and knit, but even more so, she loved helping to take care of her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Emma was predeceased by her son, William Pulsifer; her sisters, Alma Clark and Norma Pulsifer; brothers, Wesley Pulsifer, Sr. and Gary Pulsifer; and her domestic partner Theodore J. Edwards.
She is survived by her three children, Debbie Newman (FL), Theo Edwards (Erica) of Rensselaer and Bessie Edwards of Rensselaer; brothers, Stanley Pulsifer (Bonnie) of Poestenkill, Raymond (Timmy) Pulsifer of Nassau, Terry Pulsifer (Sarah) of Rensselaer; sister, Janet Poole (Ray), seven grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life on a later date.
