Enid S. Hutchinson

March 6, 1935 — July 26, 2018

Enid Shirley Hutchinson (née Raine), age 83, of Niskayuna entered into everlasting life on July 26, 2018.
Born in Greater Manchester England on March 6th 1935 in the Silver Jubilee Year of King George V, the daughter of Eric Emerson Raine and Verena (née Aspinall) Raine.
Educated in Anglican schools, she came to America at age 18 and entered Buffalo State Teachers College graduating in 1958. She then taught 4th grade at Thomas Edison School in Tonawanda, NY.
She married William (Bill) Hutchinson on March 30th 1959 at St Andrews Episcopal Church in Buffalo, NY. They were married for 54 years until Bill passed away in 2013. They lived in several states ranging from New York to Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and Georgia following Bill's assignments in Sears Roebuck & Co until his retirement in 1994.
Enid & Bill were the proud parents of three sons Christopher (Sandra) of Glenville, Neil and Ian David of Scotia. Neil sadly passed away in 1999. There are four grandchildren Matthew, Philip, Steven and Bethany and also two great grandsons Brody Neil and Miciah. Enid had a beloved brother Eric who died in 1979.
When sons Chris, Neil and David were young the family spent summers at the Hutchinson family cottage in Bristol, West Virginia, Bill's home state. In later years Bill and Enid visited England often.
Enid's main interests were in Literature and Poetry, History, classical music, gardens, correspondence with her friends abroad, and for many years was a member of the AAUW (American Association of University Women). Her favorite songs of praise were "Te Deum" and William Blake's "Jerusalem". Bill and Enid also had several cats over the years, Muffin, Fluff, Honey, Nutmeg and Ivory.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Prince of Peace Garden, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY next to her beloved husband and close to their late son William Neil Bede Hutchinson.
