SCHENECTADY – Eric Frederick Boettner, 26, passed away suddenly on Wednesday April 27, 2011 at Albany Medical Center as a result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born in Schenectady and is the beloved son of Frederick H. Boettner and Susan Fischer Boettner. Eric is the cherished brother and best friend of Megan (Bunnie) Boettner. He is the maternal grandson of Dolores C. Fischer and the late Joseph W. Fischer. Eric is the paternal grandson of the late Frederick H. and Dorothy Mae Boettner. Eric is the cousin of Willie, Kelly, Heather, Erin, Randy, Nicole, Gregory, John, Jen, Amanda, Doug, Jessica, Christy, Abby, Olivia and Nathan. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles. He will be missed by his many dear friends and the Goodfellas,
Eric was a 2002 graduate of Schenectady High School and he attended Hudson Valley Community College. He was a manager for several years with Price Chopper on Western Ave and currently in Colonie. Eric enjoyed fishing, muscle cars and riding his motorcycle.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Saturday from 11:00 to 2:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Eric's name are encouraged to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave. Scotia, NY 12302.
