NASSAU- Eric R. (Stretch) Jensen, 75, of Nassau, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 20, 2010 at Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie.
Eric was born in Flushing, NY and was the son of the late Carle and Frieda Parchen Jensen. He served in the US Army and Reserves for eight years during the Korean War. Stretch owned and operated Jensen's Auto Body Shop in Nassau for over twenty five years. He was a member of VFW Post 8162 and Rensselaer Elks #2073.
He is the devoted father of Erica D. Accuosti of Valatie and the late Karen L. Mosseau. Eric is the brother of the late Carle Jensen. He is the grandfather of Thomas & Nicholas Accuosti and Geoffrey and Avery Mosseau. Uncle of Darsi Frederick, Peter and Neil Jensen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private at Memorys Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen L. Mosseau Fund, c/o Samaritan Hospital Foundation, 2212 Burdett Ave., Troy, NY 12180.
