Eric Shawn Savage

COLONIE-Born New Year's Day 1989 in Albany, New York, Eric Shawn Savage passed away suddenly on March 13, 2014. Eric was the devoted son of Victor and Lisa (Golden) Savage. A lifelong Colonie resident, Eric graduated with honors from Colonie Central High School in 2007. He continued his education earning his Bachelor of Science from SUNY Albany in 2012. Eric was formerly employed by Deep Blue Communications in Latham, New York.
Eric had a passion for writing and mixing music. He performed as a DJ at night clubs in New York City as well as locally. Eric also enjoyed watching Formula 1 racing, sometimes traveling to watch those races in person. He loved the outdoors, spending time hiking with his Mom and Dad. Eric and his Dad would spend time together; Eric snowboarding while his Dad skied. He and his Mom would also spend time cooking and creating meals together. All will remember Eric's gentle way and a smile that warmed the hearts of all around him.
In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his maternal grandmother Zelda Madeline "Jo" Golden; his paternal grandfather, Donald and Joan Savage; his aunts and uncles Todd and Laurie Golden, Kathy and John Hale, Charles and Lynn Savage, Stephen and Joann Savage, Peter Savage, Michael Savage, Richard and Gina Savage and Donna and Rodney Kinkaid. Lisa's loving cousins, Ray and Agnese Andrews and their son Michael and an extensive number of cousins in the family that will always remember Eric with love.
Eric was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, David Golden and by his paternal grandmother Blanche Savage.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
