Ericka Mackey

Colonie- Ericka M. (Molnar) Mackey, 44, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on August 2, 2018 in Albany, NY. The daughter of Colleen (McGraw) Ward, Ericka was born on August 14, 1973 in Albany, NY. She graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. She spend her career in the financial industry, most recently for Wachovia in Albany. She married the love of her life, Maria T. (Steward) Mackey in 2011. Ericka loved sports, especially golf, both playing and watching. She also enjoyed trips with family and friends to Las Vegas. Ericka also had a tremendous love for dogs. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin and friend.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving wife and life partner, Maria T. Mackey; her siblings: Amy Wagner, Jennifer (Dan) Melchior, Joey (Christina) Molnar, Anna (Christopher) Chura and Heather (Will) Foley; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves her rescue Pitbull, Hercules.
Ericka was predeceased by her grandmother Rosemary McGraw with whom she was very close.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday, August 6 at New Comer Cremations & Funeral, 343 New Karner Road. A funeral service will be held at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
