Ernest Bacon

ALBANY – Ernest W. Bacon, 80, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Henry Bacon and Elizabeth VanAken. Mr. Bacon was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired in 1993 from Armory Garage, Inc. as service manager. Ernie is the beloved and loving husband of Aileen Becker Bacon. He is the father of Linda (Lee Odell) Bacon, Jane Bacon, James (Susan) Bacon, David (Susie) Bacon and Kevin (Ann) Bacon. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and his sister, Betty Nichols.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at Memory's Garden, Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Ernie Bacon.
