Ernest Leon Wilson

ALBANY, NY – On the morning of Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Ernest Leon Wilson, 76, "Mr. Wilson" as he was affectionately called, returned unto the Lord and his awaiting wife, Carrie. He is the father of Deborah A. Wilson-Martin (James) of Albany, Michael P. Wilson (Rebecca) of Cohoes, LeRoi Lipscomb (Barbara) of Atlanta, GA, Kenneth L. Wilson (Laura) of Clifton Park and the late Cynthia M. Wilson. He is the brother of Rev. Florence Kennedy of Buffalo, NY. He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Ernest was predeceased by his loving wife of 32 years, Carrie Wilson, his parents, Paul and Dicey Wilson, three brothers, Paul, Thomas and James and five sisters, Elizabeth, Louise, Phoebe, Juanita and Anna Lee.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wilborn Temple COGIC, 121 Jay St., Albany with a celebration service immediately following at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be o n Wednesday at12:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
