Colonie- Ernest "Spike" M. Morgan , 104, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017.
He was born on June 23, 1912 in Leeton, Missouri, son of the late Jesse and Rosa Morgan. Spike grew up on a farm in Chillhowee, Missouri before relocating to Colonie as an adult.
Spike was a long time resident of Colonie. He retired from Addressograph/ Multigraph after 40 years of service.
Spike is survived by his devoted wife of 78 years, Helen Morgan. Those who knew Spike and Helen will remember them as always being together; their marriage was one of true love and lifelong romance.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Jan Morgan; son, Bill Morgan; daughter-in-law, Louise Kuziumko and grandson, Dan Morgan.
Spike's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Evergreen Commons Wyantskill for their professionalism and the compassionate care provided to Spike and his family during a difficult time.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 10:00am at Historic St. Mary's Church on Capitol Hill, 10 Lodge St., Albany, NY 12207. Friends and family are invited to share condolences from 9-10am prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
