Ernesto Valentin, Jr.

Valentin, Ernesto (Nesty) of Albany, N.Y., passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1931, to Ernesto Valentin Maisonet and Celina Romero. He grew up in Arroyo, Puerto Rico. Nesty loved his family and his town. He especially loved debating politics and gathering with friends at the Malecon in Arroyo. During his youth, Nesty played basketball before entering the Army. Nesty was married to Aurea Cintron for 60 years before she predeceased him in 2017. He is survived by his children, Wanda, Janet and Belinda. His grandchildren, Michelle, Eunice, Pedro, Ileana and Adriana. He also leaves behind six beautiful great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Internment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
